Amidst ongoing farmer protests regarding the procurement of moong (green gram) and other farming-related demands, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Wednesday that the state government has constituted a committee to engage with the farmers and address their concerns through dialogue. CM Yadav also appealed to the protesters to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience. He emphasized that the state is observing this year as the “Year of Agricultural Welfare” (*Krishi Kalyan Varsh*) and that the government is implementing various schemes for the welfare of farmers. The Chief Minister said, “We are observing the ‘Year of Agricultural Welfare’ across Madhya Pradesh and undertaking numerous initiatives for the benefit of farmers. I have formed a committee to discuss issues concerning the farmers. Yesterday, we sent the state’s Agriculture Minister, Aidal Singh Kanshana, and today as well, our team\u2014comprising Agriculture Minister Kanshana, Minister Krishna Gaur, Minister Vishvas Sarang, Minister Rakesh Singh, and senior officials\u2014will hold discussions with the farmers.” He reiterated that the government is committed to addressing the farmers’ concerns through constructive dialogue. CM Yadav stated, “We urge the farmers to engage in talks. The government has always stood by the farmers and welcomes their positive suggestions. At the same time, both sides must ensure that the general public is not inconvenienced. We believe that a solution can be reached through dialogue.
