He declared that those who interfere with religious events would meet a fate similar to that of Ravana and Kansa—a statement underscoring the BJP government’s firm resolve regarding law and order in the state. This statement serves as a direct attack on political adversaries amidst the prevailing election atmosphere. On Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, accusing the previous administration of shielding mafia elements, stalling welfare initiatives, and allowing anarchy to flourish across the state. Addressing a public rally in Madhuban, Mau, he asserted that the BJP government has significantly improved the state’s security environment and ensured that public welfare schemes reach the poor. Yogi remarked that the previous government had capitulated to the mafia; chaos and disorder were rampant everywhere. “Now, I can state with confidence that today, no mafia don or goon has the audacity to create trouble during any festival. If anyone attempts to obstruct a religious event—while the festival itself will certainly be celebrated—the perpetrator’s ultimate fate is sealed to be just like that of Ravana and Kansa.” The Chief Minister recounted how, in the past, young women could not attend school because goons would harass them. Abductions could occur at any moment. Traders were compelled to shut down their shops before sunset. If a family member failed to return home by dusk, the family would be consumed by anxiety, fearing the worst had befallen them. Yogi noted that amidst such a riot-like atmosphere—an environment rife with anarchy—the youth of the region faced an existential crisis regarding their identity. There were no job opportunities within the state; furthermore, whenever they ventured outside the state, people would recoil in apprehension the moment they heard the name “Uttar Pradesh.” Yogi concluded, “Previously, there were no amenities available for the poor. In 2014, you entrusted the reins of the nation to Narendra Modi. Over the past 12 years, you have witnessed the transformation of India.” Modi Ji states that, for him, there are only four castes. He has said that one caste belongs to the poor, one to the youth, one to women, and one to the farmers who provide us with food. If you recall, these four categories encompass everyone. If these four groups are uplifted, the nation will begin to move forward. Modi Ji used to formulate schemes in Delhi, but from 2014 to 2017, the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh prevented them from being implemented within the state. The SP did nothing for the poor. The SP government used to grovel before the mafia; they would break into a sweat and could not even utter a word in the mafia’s presence.

In Mau, Yogi Adityanath issued a stern warning to the Samajwadi Party, accusing them of shielding the mafia and obstructing

[3
