He also alleged that the agreement compromises national interest and farmers&#8217; welfare. The agreement has resulted in an 18% reduction in US tariffs on Indian goods, benefiting sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, and engineering. Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Sanjay Raut said, &#8220;The entire opposition walked out of the Rajya Sabha. National interest and the interests of farmers have been compromised. I think this trade agreement has been done to save Gautam Adani, and we will protest against it from the streets to Parliament.&#8221; Echoing similar concerns, Arvind Sawant questioned the government&#8217;s economic priorities, citing the Union Budget. He said, &#8220;Have you seen your budget? In that budget, you have imposed zero percent duty. All the goods are coming from America.
