He also called for an independent and accountable National Artificial Intelligence Authority. Addressing a program here, Dhankhar said there is a need to regulate AI while maintaining the right balance between regulation and promoting innovation. According to an official statement, he said, &#8220;Excessive regulation is like keeping a child under excessive discipline. We do not have to stifle the spirit of entrepreneurship.&#8221; He also said that the impact of artificial intelligence on common citizens should be at the center of the regulation system. The Vice President said that a common person will not be able to find solutions on his own.
