Centre asked for detailed explanation of trade agreement

Leader of the Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who was not allowed to speak in the Lok Sabha, said outside Parliament that he wondered how the India-US trade agreement, which had been stalled for four months, was suddenly concluded. He also demanded a detailed explanation of the trade agreement from the Centre. Accusing Prime Minister Modi of selling out the country, Rahul said the Prime Minister is scared because the very people who built his image are now destroying it. Rahul Gandhi said, “Modi ji is panicking. The (US-India) trade agreement, which was stalled for the last few months, was finalized by Narendra Modi last night. He is under a lot of pressure. Narendra Modi ji’s image could be tarnished. The main point is that our Prime Minister’s image has been damaged. The public should think about this. For the first time, the Leader of the Opposition was not allowed to speak during the President’s address. Narendra Modi ji has sold out your hard work in this trade agreement because his image has been damaged. He has sold out the country.” He added, “Narendra Modi ji is scared because those who built his image are now destroying it… There is a case going on against Adani ji in America, but in reality, this case is against Modi ji… There is much more in the Epstein files that the US has not yet released. This is also a source of pressure. These are the two main reasons. The country should understand this.” While speaking amidst the uproar in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi presented a ‘certified’ copy of an article citing the unpublished ‘memoirs’ of a former Army chief. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that when the verdict has already been delivered, they cannot refer to the same subject again under the pretext of making indirect references.
