Ambitious Target of Winning 100 Seats in Assam
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set an ambitious target of winning 100 seats in Assam, signaling the party’s strong resolve to further consolidate its position in the state. As part of this strategy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Guwahati on February 14, where he will address a massive convention of booth-level workers from across Assam. Approximately one lakh booth-level workers are expected to attend the convention, showcasing the party’s robust grassroots presence. Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Assam on February 21. During his visit, the Home Minister will hold crucial organizational meetings, review election preparations, and interact with party leaders and workers to strengthen the BJP’s election campaign strategy. Senior party leaders stated that the visits by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister will significantly boost the morale of party workers and provide them with clear strategic direction. The BJP aims to reinforce its commitment to development, good governance, and strong organizational outreach across Assam. Assam is scheduled to hold assembly elections later this year, where the BJP, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, will be vying to retain power against the Congress party. On Monday in Assam, where elections are due, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated 67 state-of-the-art school buildings constructed under NESIDS, PM-DIVYA, and RIDF-XXX at a central program held in Sonapur, Kamrup (Metro) district, and also laid the foundation stone for 61 other schools to be constructed in various districts of Assam under RIDF-XXI.
