PM Modi launches a double attack on ‘Urban Naxals’ and infiltrators, says it’s an international conspiracy
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed concern over the growing influence of urban Naxalism, saying it has acquired international dimensions and continues to work against India. Addressing party workers at the BJP’s national headquarters in the capital, where Nitin Naveen took charge as the national president, PM Modi said that another major challenge is urban Naxalism. The scope of urban Naxalism is becoming international. If they tweet something positive about Modi even once or twice a year, or say something positive on TV, or write something positive in the newspaper, some journalists humiliate them so much that they are hounded and ostracized. They are silenced in such a way that they can never speak again. This is the modus operandi of urban Naxalism. Modi further said that for years, such groups have been isolating the BJP and treating party members across the country like untouchables. “The country is now understanding the actions of these urban Naxals. Urban Naxals are continuously working to harm India. This morning, Prime Minister Modi, while warning about infiltrators across the country, said that we must face every challenge with full force. The biggest challenge facing the country today is that of infiltrators. No country in the world accepts infiltrators in its territory, and India cannot allow infiltrators to snatch away the rights of its poor and youth. Targeting the opposition parties, he said that infiltrators are a huge threat to the country’s security; identifying them and sending them back to their countries is extremely important. Furthermore, political parties that are protecting infiltrators for the sake of vote bank politics should be exposed before the public with full force. Meanwhile, Nitin Naveen formally assumed office as the National President of the BJP this morning. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, outgoing BJP National President JP Nadda, several other BJP leaders, and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states were present at the ceremony. Senior Indian politician Nitin Naveen is a five-time member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and a former minister in the Bihar government. He is known for his consistent organizational capabilities and administrative experience. The process for the BJP’s national president election began after 30 out of 36 state presidents were elected, surpassing the required 50 percent threshold. The election schedule was announced on January 16, 2026, along with the voter list. As per the schedule, the nomination process was completed yesterday, January 19, 2026, between 2 PM and 4 PM.”
