BJP and the stock market are competing with each other in terms of decline: Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that there is a competition between the ruling party’s moral decline and the stock market’s decline, and both are falling rapidly. In a post on ‘X’, the former Chief Minister said, “There is a competition between the decline in morality within the BJP and the decline in the stock market; both are falling drastically. In both these situations, the loss is ultimately borne by the people of the country.” He said that first the public and now the investors have lost faith in the BJP. Amidst rising global tensions, the domestic stock market witnessed a sharp decline on Tuesday, resulting in investors losing Rs 9.86 lakh crore. The BSE’s 30-share benchmark index, Sensex, fell by 1,065.71 points, or 1.28 percent, to close at 82,180.47 points.
