Previous Governments Bled Ram’s City Dry, But Nothing is Above Sanatan Dharma, Says CM Yogi in Ayodhya

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple and the consecration of Ram Lalla, while taking a dig at the opposition and accusing them of appeasement politics. Addressing a public meeting organized on the occasion of Pratishtha Dwadashi and the second anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla, Chief Minister Yogi alleged that opposition parties had turned Ayodhya into a land of unrest and conflict. He said that in independent India, Ayodhya has witnessed several phases of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The very name of Ayodhya suggests that no war was fought here, meaning that no enemy could stand against its courage. But some people, driven by greed, religious fanaticism, and the politics of appeasement, turned Ayodhya into a place of unrest and conflict. Recalling the foundation stone laying ceremony, the consecration, and the flag hoisting, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ayodhya can never forget three moments. August 5, 2020, when the Prime Minister of India arrived in Ayodhya for the first time and laid the foundation stone of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. January 22, 2024, when the Prime Minister completed the consecration of the idol of Ram Lalla. The third moment was on November 25, when the Prime Minister hoisted the saffron flag atop the temple. In November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the saffron flag on the 191-foot-tall spire of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, symbolizing the completion of the temple’s construction. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who was present on the occasion, for his contributions to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
