Uttar Pradesh will set new records of prosperity, good governance and all-round progress in the new year: CM Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday expressed confidence that the state will set new records of prosperity, good governance and all-round progress in 2026. Opposition leaders Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav also extended New Year greetings. Adityanath posted on ‘X’, “Under the successful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘New Uttar Pradesh’ is playing its important role by participating in the development journey of ‘Developed India’.” He said, “The development and public welfare schemes being implemented in the state have significantly improved the living standards of the people. The benefits of the schemes are reaching the poor, farmers, youth, women and every section of society in a transparent, timely and effective manner.” The Chief Minister said, “I am fully confident that in the year 2026, Uttar Pradesh will set new records of prosperity, good governance and all-round progress with the development-oriented policies of the double-engine government.” Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati extended New Year greetings to the people across the country and Indians living abroad, and wished them a life full of happiness, peace, prosperity, security and self-respect. Mayawati posted on ‘X’, saying, “I extend my heartfelt New Year’s greetings for 2026 to all my fellow citizens and Indian citizens living around the world and their families, and wish them all happiness, peace, prosperity, security, and a life filled with self-respect and dignity.” She further added, “May the new year bring ease and simplicity to the daily lives of all the poor and hardworking people of all communities in the country, that is, all the Bahujans, freeing them from the constant constraints of new rules and regulations at every step. May this year bring immense joy to all of you. This is not only a prayer to nature but also the ongoing struggle of the Bahujan community in political and social life to achieve better days.” Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, in his New Year’s message, called for new resolutions and change, saying that a new dawn brings new hopes and change begins with oneself. He posted on ‘X’, “A new dawn of the new year, a new abode of hopes, let us take new vows for a new battle. A new resolution brings a new tomorrow. If we change, everything will change.”
