Mamata emphasizes ‘Mother, Motherland, and People’, says ‘We will not fear our enemies, the fight for the people will continue’

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated party workers and supporters on the founding day of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) and reiterated the party’s commitment to ‘Mother, Motherland, and People’, vowing to continue the struggle for the common people. In a post, she said that even today, every worker and supporter of our party remains firm and committed to this goal. She further added that the Trinamool Congress family is blessed today with the blessings, love, and prayers of countless people. Your unwavering support gives us strength, and we are determined to uphold the rights of every individual in this great democratic nation. We will not bow down to any malicious force, and our struggle for the common people will continue throughout our lives, overcoming all adversities. I express my salutations and respect to all the dedicated workers and supporters of the Mother, Motherland, and People family. TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said that on this occasion, the party reiterates its resolve to stand with the people. On the Trinamool Congress Foundation Day, I bow my head in gratitude to every member of our ever-growing family. This journey, which began as a movement for change, has today transformed into a powerful democratic force. I pay special tribute to our grassroots workers. You are the architects of this story. Your discipline, your sacrifice, and your unwavering faith empower our politics. As long as we remain loyal to our Mother, Motherland, and People, no power, however arrogant or oppressive, can defeat the collective resolve of Bengal. Today, we reiterate our resolve to stand with the people, protect their democratic voice, and ensure that no one in Bengal is harassed, humiliated, or intimidated by anti-Bengali feudal forces. The TMC was formed on January 1, 1998, when Banerjee broke away from the Congress after ideological and political differences. From a nascent regional party, the TMC became a national party in 2016. In 2011, it ended 34 years of Left Front rule in West Bengal and has remained in power ever since, winning three consecutive assembly elections. This year’s foundation day is being celebrated at a time of heightened political activity in the state as it prepares for the next West Bengal assembly elections, scheduled for March-April 2026. The TMC is currently at loggerheads with the Election Commission of India (ECI) over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
