Construction of a special building at the hospital to be completed expeditiously
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday directed officials to expedite the construction of a building at the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan (LJPN) Super Specialty Hospital in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna. The Chief Minister said that the government’s objective is to provide comprehensive and state-of-the-art treatment facilities to patients at a single location, and under this objective, LJPN Rajvanshi Nagar is being developed as a super-specialty hospital for orthopedics, and a new, highly specialized building is being constructed for this purpose. He informed that modern facilities are being provided here for the treatment of orthopedic diseases. According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Chief Minister also inspected the hospital premises and took stock of the facilities available there. During this time, he took feedback from the patients and their attendants present there regarding the healthcare facilities. The statement said that Kumar directed the officials that there should be no negligence in the treatment of patients. It is noteworthy that the government had approved the construction of a 400-bed specialized building at a cost of Rs 215 crore within the hospital premises. Construction of this six-story building is underway, and the target for its completion has been set for March 2026.
