Rahul Gandhi compared to Lord Ram, BJP attacks Congress, calls it a grave insult to millions of Hindus

BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan on Thursday termed Maharashtra Congress MLA Nana Patole’s remarks comparing Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to Lord Ram as a grave insult to Hindu sentiments. Nana Patole had said that Rahul Gandhi is “fighting for justice,” just as Lord Ram worked for the oppressed. In a post, the BJP leader questioned Nana Patole why Rahul Gandhi has not yet visited the Ayodhya Ram Temple. CR Kesavan wrote on X that Nana Patole’s comparison of Lord Ram to Rahul Gandhi is a grave insult to the faith and sentiments of crores of Hindu devotees, which is unforgivable. Earlier, after Honorable President Droupadi Murmu visited the divine Ram Temple and prayed for the welfare of the nation, Nana Patole committed a shameful act by demanding the purification of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. These shameful remarks and wicked mentality of Nana Patole are unforgivable and highly condemnable. Will Nana Patole dare to ask Rahul Gandhi why he mocked the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the dance and music program, or why Rahul Gandhi has not yet visited the Ayodhya Ram Temple? On Wednesday, when asked about Rahul Gandhi not visiting the Ram Temple, Nana Patole said that the Congress is doing the work of Lord Ram. Nana Patole told ANI, “Our leader Rahul Gandhi is doing the work of Lord Shri Ram. You know that Lord Shri Ram worked for the oppressed, the victims, and the underprivileged. Our leader Rahul Gandhi is doing the same work across the country; his fight to get justice for the people of the country has begun. When the Ram Lalla temple was locked, our late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi ordered the opening of the gates. When Rahul Gandhi goes to Ayodhya, he will offer prayers there.”
