Saddened to learn about the demise of former Governor Swaraj Kaushal: Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday expressed grief over the death of former Mizoram Governor Swaraj Kaushal and said his contributions will always be remembered. Kaushal, husband of late BJP stalwart and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, passed away on Thursday afternoon. He was 73 years old. She said, “Saddened to learn about the demise of former Governor of Mizoram, former MP and a renowned jurist, Shri Swaraj Kaushal ji. His contributions will always be remembered.” In a post on ‘X’, Murmu said, “I extend my deepest condolences to his daughter and MP Bansuri Swaraj, other family members and admirers.”
