PM Modi opens new door to natural farming in Coimbatore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in several programs in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on Wednesday and release the 21st installment of ₹18,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme for nine crore farmers. According to a PMO release, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday morning and pay homage to Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba by visiting his holy temple and Mahasamadhi in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. The release of the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN scheme will benefit nine crore farmers across the country. Each eligible farmer will receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments directly into their bank accounts. Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, the Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the “VanakkammModi” campaign, calling him a true friend of every farmer. BJP Coimbatore South MLA and National President of the Mahila Morcha, Vanathi Srinivasan, said in a post on Instagram, “The Prime Minister will arrive in Coimbatore today for a busy schedule.” A roadshow is planned for 1:05 p.m. – a grand demonstration of Tamil Nadu’s unwavering support. Coimbatore is all set to welcome a new wave of inspiration and development, he said. The Prime Minister will arrive in South India’s textile capital from Andhra Pradesh at 1:30 p.m. after attending the centenary celebrations of the late spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi. He further said the event is significant because the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN scheme will be released to “hardworking farmers across the country.” The summit also aims to accelerate the shift towards natural and regenerative farming as a viable, climate-friendly, and economically sustainable model for India’s agricultural future.
