Why does the Prime Minister deny that he speaks with Trump?: Congress
Citing a statement by White House spokesperson Carolyn Levitt, the Congress party on Wednesday questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi denies that he speaks with US President Donald Trump. Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh shared a video of Carolyn Levitt’s remarks, in which she said that Trump has great respect for Prime Minister Modi and that the two frequently speak to each other. Ramesh posted on X, “On May 10th at 5:37 pm, the people of India learned that ‘Operation Sindoor’ had been abruptly halted by the US Secretary of State (Marco Rubio). Now, the people of India have learned from White House spokesperson Carolyn Levitt that President Trump and Prime Minister Modi have been speaking to each other frequently on trade (or) deals.” The Congress leader said that the two leaders should actually speak to each other.
