Kharge launches scathing attack on NDA
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday launched a scathing attack on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), accusing it of ruining Bihar, ruining education, neglecting employment, and misleading the public with false promises of 10 million jobs. Addressing a press conference in Patna, Bihar, the Congress president said, “They have ruined Bihar. They have destroyed schools. We don’t have teachers, and today there are no jobs across the country. There are 5 million vacant jobs in universities, police, central police, railways, and the Government of India. They should be recruiting people. They’re not recruiting, and here they are talking about 10 million jobs.” Praising Bihar’s voters, Kharge said, “So this time the people will teach such liars a lesson. Bihar is a politically conscious state. There may be poverty and unemployment here, but everyone is very politically savvy. They know when to vote, how to vote, and whom to vote for.” Earlier today, while addressing a public meeting in Rajapakar, Bihar, Kharge targeted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, questioning his long tenure and effectiveness. Kharge said, “You could not end the jungle raj in 20 years? Despite all your abuses, Congress and RJD are winning the elections here. What Nitish Kumar could not do in his 20 years of rule, will he do now?” In a sharp political attack, Kharge said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister “at any cost”. Kharge said, “Prime Minister Modi is not going to make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister. He will bring one of his disciples and make him sit on the chair. He will say, ‘Your work is done, you are not well, you stay at home.'” Voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
