Over 56,000 youth secured government jobs in Punjab under AAP’s leadership: Chief Minister

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday claimed that over 56,000 youth have secured government jobs during the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) three and a half years of rule in the state. Addressing a ceremony to hand over appointment letters to 858 newly recruited youth, the Chief Minister said these jobs will transform their fortunes as they will become active partners in the state’s social and economic progress. The Chief Minister claimed that from the very first day of his tenure, he has ensured that youth receive jobs based on their merit, resulting in over 56,000 youth securing government jobs. The Chief Minister alleged that previous governments in Punjab never bothered to provide jobs to youth because they were only concerned with serving the ruling families. He said that during the AAP’s rule, students from government schools are succeeding in prestigious examinations like NEET, JEE, and JEE Advanced, a clear sign of change at the grassroots level. On the issue of stubble burning, Mann alleged that Punjab is being maligned for air pollution in Delhi as part of a well-planned conspiracy, while the reality is quite different. Mann said that those blaming Punjab forget that Haryana lies between the state and the national capital, but they do not mention it.
