Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrives in Ayodhya

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Ayodhya on Wednesday for a two-day visit. According to an official statement, she was welcomed at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport by State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi. From the airport, the Union Minister’s convoy, amid tight security, arrived at the Civil Lines hotel, where, after a brief rest, she departed for her scheduled engagements. Nirmala Sitharaman’s visit is for a special cultural event being held at Brihaspati Kund in Tedhi Bazaar. On this occasion, she will jointly unveil the statues of three great South Indian musicians: Saint Tyagaraja Swamigal, Purandara Dasa, and Arunachala Kavi, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. These statues, installed in the Brihaspati Kund complex, are eternal symbols of India’s musical, devotional, and artistic heritage. According to the statement, these saint-musicians infused divine devotion into Indian classical music, making it the spiritual essence of the nation’s culture. Their installation in Ayodhya, the land of devotion and religion, is a remarkable testimony to the unity of North and South Indian traditions.
