Chirag Paswan holds seat-sharing meeting, BJP dismisses reports of displeasure
Union Minister and BJP leader Nityanand Rai visited Union Minister and LJP (RV) chief Chirag Paswan’s mother at her residence. After the meeting, Rai said, “My and Chirag Paswan’s parents live in the same house, and I have come to seek their blessings.” He also dismissed reports of Chirag Paswan’s displeasure. He questioned, “Who said Chirag was displeased?” Meanwhile, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan said on Thursday that discussions are underway within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regarding seat-sharing arrangements ahead of the two-phase Bihar Assembly elections next month. “Discussions are ongoing. I have other responsibilities as well. As long as I am a minister, I also have the responsibility of the ministry. I am leaving for that now,” Chirag Paswan told reporters. The LJP (RV) has called an emergency party meeting at its Patna office on Thursday to discuss the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and organisational matters. Amid speculation about seat-sharing among NDA parties in Bihar, LJP (RLD) MP Arun Bharti said the party’s election strategy will be decided at the meeting in Patna on Thursday. Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Arun Bharti stressed the importance of the meeting ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. He said, “The party has called an important meeting to discuss our party’s policies and strategies for the elections… Whatever decision will be taken, you will be informed… Tomorrow’s meeting is very important for us.”
