The benefits of GST savings should be made available to every citizen of the region: Scindia
New Delhi/Guna/Ashoknagar/Shivpuri. Union Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Minister and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia held an important virtual meeting from New Delhi on Tuesday with MLAs, district presidents, divisional presidents, and other officials from the Ashoknagar and Shivpuri areas of the Guna parliamentary constituency. The meeting discussed plans and implementation strategies to disseminate the benefits of the Seva Pakhwada and GST Savings Festival, which run from September 22nd to 29th. Scindia discussed in detail plans to disseminate the benefits of the GST rate reforms, which were presented to the nation on the first day of Navratri, to the people of the Guna region. He appealed for dissemination of these benefits to the public and for spreading awareness about the purchase of indigenous goods. The Union Minister stated in the meeting that the Seva Pakhwada, which began on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, is an opportunity for every worker to work for service, social welfare, and public awareness. He directed district presidents and workers to develop a detailed plan for daily programs, with teams of workers led by a senior worker. These teams should visit every ward in the assembly, block, tehsil, panchayat, and village to complete the programs in a timely manner. The minister also urged each team to regularly share reports and photos of their work to ensure an organized and effective Seva Pakhwada. During the meeting, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia called for special attention to health, sanitation, the environment, public welfare programs, social service, and public awareness during the Seva Pakhwada. He said that free health camps should be organized for health-related service activities, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and other tests. Blood donation camps should also be organized, and wheelchairs and assistive devices should be provided to disabled people at each camp. Scindia also stated that during the Seva Pakhwada, as part of the cleanliness campaign, public places should be cleaned and the plastic-free campaign should be promoted to the public. Similarly, he appealed for large-scale tree planting at the district level to promote tree planting and environmental protection. The meeting also decided to organize special programs on the life and achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These programs will include photo exhibitions, speech contests, essay writing, symposia, and discussions on the theme of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
