Chirag’s taunt on ignoring Tejashwi

Taking a dig at Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav, Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Monday said that despite all the efforts in Rahul Gandhi’s Matdata Adhikar Yatra, the Congress leader did not give due respect to his leadership. Paswan said that it is natural for Tejashwi Yadav to feel sad after being ignored by Rahul Gandhi. When asked about Tejashwi Yadav’s recent comment “Tejashwi will contest on all 243 seats”, the Union Minister said that the opposition leader from Bihar gave his all for Rahul Gandhi’s yatra. He was even driving Rahul Gandhi’s car. Wherever he was going, he was following him. Chirag Paswan further said that even after doing so much, the Congress did not accept his leadership. He was not given due respect. So it is natural for him to feel like this. The RJD leader’s remarks come ahead of talks on seat sharing between the Mahagathbandhan parties for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Meanwhile, on Indian cricketers refusing to shake hands with Pakistani cricketers during an Asia Cup match, Paswan said that the Indian players did the right thing and in this way they paid respect to the families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. He said that if you are shaking hands with someone and the same people are attacking and killing your family, then such pictures can definitely hurt their feelings. The game had to be played and our players also respected it equally and played the game in the same spirit. By winning, our players definitely paid true respect to those victims. After India’s win against Pakistan, captain Suryakumar Yadav along with his teammate Shivam Dubey returned straight to the dressing room without giving the traditional greeting to the Pakistani team. Suryakumar said, “I think some things in life come ahead of sportsmanship.”
