Has EC become BJP’s election theft branch? Rahul Gandhi’s attack on Election Commission

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday claimed that the Election Commission has been caught red-handed stealing votes in the name of special intensive revision of voter list in Bihar. He asked whether the Election Commission has completely become the ‘election theft branch’ of BJP. At the same time, the Election Commission has always been saying that this revision, being done after 22 years, will remove ineligible people and duplicate entries from the voter list and will also include people eligible to vote according to the law. Rahul Gandhi wrote in a video interview on X that the Election Commission in Bihar was caught red-handed stealing votes in the name of ‘SIR’. Work is only theft, name is ‘SIR’ – FIR will be lodged against the one who exposes! Is EC still ‘Election Commission’ or has it completely become BJP’s ‘Election Chori’ branch? Meanwhile, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar said that it is not the job of the Election Commission to certify citizenship and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) should not be started in the name of special intensive revision. He also claimed that now the Commission is stuck in its own arguments and is fabricating the story of people from Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh being in Bihar under the ‘Mudda Diversion Yojana’. Kumar told reporters at the Congress headquarters ‘Indira Bhawan’, “If the revision process of 2003 was wrong, then all the elections after that are wrong… Did the people of Myanmar and Nepal vote for Narendra Modi ji… If this is so, then disqualify all the 40 MPs of Bihar and hold elections again.” In response to a question, Kumar said, “Was the voter list prepared by any political party or the Election Commission?
