Himachal Pradesh government is making every effort to set new benchmarks of development: Sukhu

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday said that his government is making every effort to set new benchmarks of development, especially in rural areas. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said this while addressing a public meeting at Baga Sarahan after laying the foundation stone of 21 development projects worth Rs 81.30 crore in Ani assembly constituency of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. An official statement said that these projects include road construction, drinking water schemes, irrigation, health, education, tourism, renewable energy and community infrastructure development schemes. Addressing the people present in the public meeting, Sukhu said that the Himachal Pradesh government is making every effort to set new dimensions of development, especially in rural areas. He announced that Aani will be made a Nagar Panchayat, Rs 1 crore will be allocated for the development of the lake in Sarahan and 50 percent subsidy will be given to the local youth on e-carts. He also said that a CBSE-affiliated school will be opened in Aani soon.
