Amit Shah roared in Kolkata, accused Mamata of Muslim appeasement, made a big claim on Murshidabad riots

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday participated in the Vijay Sankalp Sammelan in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. During this, he fiercely attacked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Shah alleged that Mamata Banerjee is ‘opposing’ Operation Sindoor and the Waqf Amendment Act to please the Muslim vote bank. Apart from this, the Home Minister also alleged that the recent riots in Murshidabad were ‘state sponsored’. Targeting Banerjee, Amit Shah said, ‘Mamata Didi has crossed the limits of degradation for the vote bank. A few days ago, Pak-inspired terrorists killed our innocent citizens in front of their family members after asking their religion. Operation Sindoor was carried out to punish these terrorists. The headquarters of terrorists were destroyed by entering inside Pakistan. Didi feels pain on the death of terrorists. Mamata Banerjee opposed Operation Sindoor by making a cheap political statement. Shah said that you (Mamata Banerjee) have not opposed Operation Sindoor, you have played with the lives of crores of mothers and sisters of this country. I have come to appeal to the mothers and sisters of Bengal to explain the value of sindoor to those who oppose Operation Sindoor in the upcoming elections. Banerjee recently accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of trying to take advantage of Operation Sindoor – the Centre’s military response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 – for political gain. On the Murshidabad violence in April, Shah claimed that many senior TMC leaders were involved in the riots. He alleged, ‘The Murshidabad riots were state-sponsored. During the Murshidabad riots, the Home Ministry kept insisting on the deployment of the BSF, but the TMC government did not allow this to happen, so that the violence continues.’ At least three people were killed and many others injured in communal riots in Murshidabad during protests over the Waqf Act. The home minister also criticised Mamata Banerjee for opposing the Waqf Amendment Act. Saying that the TMC was promoting illegal infiltration from Bangladesh, Shah said, “Mamata Banerjee has opened Bengal’s borders for Bangladeshis. She can never stop infiltration, only the BJP can do that.” Responding to TMC’s criticism of the BSF’s inability to stop infiltration, the senior BJP leader said the Mamata Banerjee-led government has not given the required land to the BSF. “Once the TMC government gives the required land to the BSF, we will stop infiltration,” he said. “But Bengal’s ruling party will never give land to the BSF because it wants infiltration to continue so that it can remain in power,” Shah claimed.
