Operation Sindoor is not over, Jaishankar said- Pakistan will have to face consequences if terrorist attacks continue
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said during his official visit to the Netherlands that Pakistan will have to face consequences if cross-border terrorist attacks continue. According to ANI, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar referred to the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and said that the views of the Pakistani military leadership are fanatical religious. He said that we want a definite end to terrorism. So our message is: yes, the ceasefire has ended military actions against each other for the time being, but if terrorist attacks from Pakistan continue, then there will be consequences. Pakistanis should understand this well. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar was in the Netherlands in place of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who canceled his planned state visit due to the recent military exchanges between India and Pakistan. The visit focused on economic cooperation and counter-terrorism issues, as well as preparatory discussions for PM Modi’s rescheduled visit later this year. The bilateral issues discussed included Dutch arms supplies to Pakistan, which was earlier raised by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans in Delhi in March. Jaishankar also said that India will strike at terrorists in Pakistan again in response to any terror attack like Pahalgam in future. He said that this is the reason why Operation Sindoor has not ended. In an interview to Dutch broadcaster NOS, he said that the government is very clear that if any such attack takes place, there will be a response. Jaishankar was in the Netherlands city of The Hague as part of a visit to the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany. He said, this operation continues because it has a clear message – that if acts like April 22 happen again, they will be responded to, we will attack the terrorists.
