Pakistan has been exposed before the world: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said Pakistan’s involvement in cross-border terrorism has been exposed before the world and said India gave a befitting reply to terror organisations during Operation Sindoor earlier this month. Speaking at the Border Security Force (BSF) investiture ceremony at the Rustamji Memorial Lecture, Shah said Operation Sindoor was a wonderful display of our Prime Minister’s strong political will, accurate information from our intelligence agencies and the firepower of the army. The coming together of all three led to the creation of Operation Sindoor. Shah said our country has been facing Pakistan-sponsored terrorism for several decades. Pakistan has carried out several major incidents over the years but it was not given a proper response. He said Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, a Bharatiya Janata Party-led government was formed and the first major attack took place on our soldiers in Uri, they had the audacity to burn them alive and we gave a befitting reply to the terrorists by entering the terror hideouts for the first time by conducting surgical strikes immediately after Uri. He clearly said that Pakistan has been exposed in front of the world. Shah said that BSF responded to bullets with shells. Amit Shah said that innocent people were killed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Pahalgam by asking their religion in front of their families… Operation Sindoor is the answer to that attack and today the world is praising the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. He said that Operation Sindoor was started on May 8 after the Pahalgam terror attack and within a few minutes of the operation we destroyed nine terrorist hideouts, two of which were headquarters. We did not destroy Pakistani army bases, airbases. We only punished those who had committed sins on Indian soil.
