Akhilesh Yadav is preparing for UP assembly elections in this style
The Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh has started preparing for the 2027 assembly elections. The Samajwadi Party is also trying to woo the media. This is the reason why the party headquarters in Lucknow has been crowded with media persons and prominent leaders for the last few days. Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is holding media conferences almost daily. During this, he raises questions on the BJP and the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government. Party insiders say that keeping in mind the 2027 assembly elections, Akhilesh has intensified his attacks. Akhilesh Yadav’s entire focus is on the PDA which includes backward, Dalit, minorities. Also, regarding government appointments in various districts, he claims that these are decided on the basis of caste. SP leaders said that the party’s MPs, MLAs and workers are contacting Muslims, OBCs and Dalits at the booth level in all 403 assembly constituencies of the state. In the past one week itself, the SP chief has held press conferences on five days, including Friday, raising issues such as the attack on party MP Ramji Lal Suman by Karni Sena members, alleged derogatory remarks on Rajput icon Maharana Pratap and the Pahalgam terror attack. On Thursday, following a controversy over a poster put up by Samajwadi Lohia Vahini, the SP’s frontal body, which had a picture of B R Ambedkar with Akhilesh in the other half, he held a press conference and appealed to party workers not to compare SP leaders with any prominent personality. The BJP and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) hit out at the SP over the poster and called it an insult to Ambedkar. Akhilesh, accompanied by Lohia Vahini leader Lal Chandra Gautam, told the media that Gautam will not put up such posters in future.
