Stalin made a big claim about Palaniswami

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday targeted All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and alleged that his decision to ally with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was driven by the need to save his leadership position within the AIADMK. Addressing the gathering at the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) district secretaries’ meeting, Stalin said the BJP has used pressure tactics to subjugate the AIADMK. Stalin said the BJP is trying everything possible to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu. To achieve this, it has used all kinds of pressure tactics and subjugated the AIADMK. Palaniswami has no other option. He fears that if he does not accept the BJP alliance, his leadership within his own party will be in danger. The Tamil Nadu CM accused the central government of using investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for “political purposes”. He said the BJP government at the Centre, which uses agencies like the Enforcement Directorate for political purposes, is condemned at the DMK district secretaries’ meeting. No matter how many threats come, the DMK will face them in a legal manner and with the support of the people. “Our strength lies in our party structure. No other party has such an administrative structure. We constantly upgrade that structure with time and we should continue to do so,” he said. Further, Stalin hit out at the opposition, saying those who cannot defeat the DMK politically are resorting to threats.
