Construction work of first bullet train station in Mumbai is going on at a fast pace: Railway Minister Vaishnaw

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday said that the construction work of the first bullet train station at BKC in Mumbai is going on at a fast pace. Vaishnaw visited the underground station under construction at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and reviewed its progress. The Railway Minister was accompanied by officials of the National High-Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) as well as representatives of Central Railway and Western Railway. NHSRCL is implementing the 500 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. Vaishnaw said that the work of the lowest ‘B3 basement level’ has been completed. The Railway Minister told reporters, “The construction work of the first station of the bullet train in BKC is going on very fast. The work of the station wall has started and the tunnel work is also going on very fast. He said that beyond the tunnel part (Sheel Phata), all the construction work in the Maharashtra section is going on at a fast pace after land acquisition. The minister said a multi-storey structure has been planned at the BKC station.
