Are there more Vermas like him in the country? MP Pappu Yadav’s question on judge cash scandal

The Central Government today issued a notification to send Justice Yashwant Verma back to Allahabad High Court from Delhi on the basis of the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium on March 24. However, questions have started arising regarding this. Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav said that will all the decisions given by Justice Yashwant Verma be canceled? Are there more Vermas like him in the country? Meanwhile, the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court has been directed not to assign any judicial work to Justice Yashwant Verma when he takes charge as a judge of Allahabad High Court. CPI MP P. Sandhosh Kumar said that he should be removed from the post of judge and these revelations are shocking. Allahabad High Court lawyers are also agitating against his transfer. Allahabad High Court should not become a dumping center for people like him. The government should reconsider its decision. However, the Supreme Court has said that the transfer proposal was routine and it had nothing to do with the cash controversy. The Supreme Court has formed a three-judge committee to investigate the case against Justice Verma. The cash was accidentally found in several sacks after firefighters were called to douse the fire in the store room of the judge’s official residence in Delhi. Though the administration as well as the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court were informed about the incident, the matter was made public a week later.
