DMK will be out of power in the next election, there will be no injustice in delimitation: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Tamil Nadu, once a very progressive state, has fallen prey to anarchy due to the policies of the DMK government and the people are very upset with this and are ready to uproot it in the next assembly elections. He also termed the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) as anti-Tamil because the Tamil Nadu government has not yet started medical and engineering education in Tamil and has not even translated books into Tamil. Shah expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will be formed in the state after the 2026 assembly elections. He alleged that the DMK government in Tamil Nadu is only involved in corruption, due to which industries and youth are migrating from the state. At the ‘Times Now Summit 2025’, Shah said, “Tamil Nadu, once considered the most progressive state of South India, has fallen prey to anarchy due to the policies of the DMK government, due to which the people are very upset. NDA government will be formed in Tamil Nadu in the coming elections.” The home minister said he was confident that the people of Tamil Nadu would throw the DMK out of power. Asked about the DMK’s opposition to the next delimitation exercise for Lok Sabha constituencies, the home minister said the regional party had raised the issue in view of next year’s elections. “Did the (central) government say anything on delimitation? Why have they raised it now? It is because of the elections. For five years they indulged in corruption and now suddenly they have woken up,” he said. “Let me tell you that there will be no injustice to anyone in the delimitation.
