He said that wherever Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes, he asks people to form a ‘double engine’ government. Singh said that is why the Union Home Ministry has double responsibility and accountability regarding security in the country. Citing the data of the National Crime Bureau, he said that compare the number of crimes in states with ‘double engine governments’ with those states where such governments do not exist. He said that this comparison will reveal where crimes are more. He said that today there is an Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab and compare the crime figures there with Haryana where the population is less than Punjab but still crimes are more. Earlier, Amit Shah had said that the Constitution has placed the responsibility of law and order on the states. Today many crimes do not happen within the boundaries of a state, but inter-state. Narcotics, cyber crime, gangs of organized crime. Many crimes are committed from outside the country’s border. He stressed that we are committed to uproot terrorism.
