Prime Minister failed to understand the “revolution” of drones: Rahul

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to understand the revolution, citing the utility of drones in the war zone and elsewhere in the present times. The former Congress president uploaded a video on drones and related technology on his YouTube channel. He said, drones have revolutionized the field of war by combining battery, motor and ‘optics’ for communication. Drones are not just technology, but they are bottom-up innovations powered by a strong industrial system. They have changed the battlefield itself. Tanks, artillery and even aircraft carriers have become less relevant. Gandhi said that this revolution is not just about war – it is about industry, AI (artificial intelligence) and the next generation of technology. He said, “Unfortunately, Prime Minister Modi has failed to understand this. While he gives speeches on AI (with the help of) teleprompter. Our competitors are mastering new technologies. He said the real power is not just in making drones, but also in controlling the electric motor, battery, optics and production network. The former Congress president said, “If we do not control production, we cannot lead in AI or technology.” Rahul Gandhi said, India has immense talent and inspiration but we need more than empty words. We need a clear vision and real industrial skills. He stressed, it is time for India’s youth to come forward and ensure that India is not left behind.
