CM Yogi expressed grief over the death of people due to stampede at Delhi railway station, Akhilesh surrounded the government by tweeting

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak on Sunday expressed deep grief over the death of people in the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. At the same time, the main opposition parties of UP, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), have surrounded the government on the matter and also given their advice. At least 18 people died and more than 12 people were injured in the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station late Saturday night. A crowd of passengers gathered at platform number 14 and 15 to board the train going to Prayagraj (where Maha Kumbh has been organized), after which there was a stampede. Yogi Adityanath wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “The loss of life in the accident at New Delhi Railway Station is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My condolences are with the bereaved families. He said, “I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed souls, strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense loss and speedy recovery to the injured.” Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also expressed grief over the incident and said, “Very sad news has been received about many people being killed in the accident at New Delhi Railway Station. I pray to God to provide speedy recovery to the injured in the accident and give a place to the departed souls in his lotus feet. Om Shanti.” UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said in his condolence message on X, “The mind is deeply saddened by the very sad and heart-rending incident of many people being killed in the accident at New Delhi Railway Station. I pray to God to provide speedy recovery to the injured and give a place to the virtuous souls in his lotus feet. Om Shanti.” Samajwadi Party President and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav posted on X, “The tragic death of Maha Kumbh devotees in Delhi is heartbreaking.” Attacking the government in the same post, Yadav said, “The people sitting in the government should think like the families who have lost their parents, siblings, children and relatives, not like politicians.” The SP chief said, honest arrangements should be made to send the bodies of the dead to their families with respect and the best treatment should be provided to the injured. The BJP government should not commit the sin of hiding the truth of the deaths. BSP chief Mayawati said on her X account, “The incident of death and injury of many people in the stampede due to the serious negligence of the railways amid the crowd gathered at the New Delhi Railway Station to go to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh is very sad.” He said, “My deepest condolences to the victims. The government should take action against the culprits and provide full help to the victims.”
