Ramesh Bidhuri hits back at Atishi’s allegations

Chief Minister and AAP candidate from Kalkaji Atishi filed a complaint with the Election Commission and alleged that her party volunteers in the constituency faced harassment and intimidation by BJP workers. In a letter to the Election Commission, she cited seven incidents of alleged intimidation of AAP workers in various parts of Kalkaji since January 15. Atishi demanded the Election Commission to initiate criminal proceedings against Bidhuri for allegedly intimidating and harassing AAP volunteers. However, BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri has hit back at Atishi’s allegations. He said that he is disappointed. AAP has no workers left. Within the last 8 days, about 140 prominent workers of AAP have joined BJP. He said that it would have been better if she had told about the work done in the last 5 years instead of deviating from the issues. He said that AAP misled the people in 2015, then in 2020 BJP is going to win more than 50 seats. Not only this, Bidhuri said that BJP workers are being defamed by making fake videos. He said that I have written a letter to the Commission regarding this. Atishi had written that BJP workers led by their candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and his associates are roaming around the constituency and openly abusing and physically intimidating AAP workers. I also wrote a letter to you yesterday in this regard. The Chief Minister said that today I am again writing to bring to your attention some more such incidents that have happened at the ground level, as reported by our volunteers after yesterday’s letter came into the public domain. Earlier, Atishi had written a letter to the Election Officer complaining against Ramesh Bidhuri’s nephew and BJP workers of Kalkaji Assembly. Atishi alleged that they were threatening AAP workers. Atishi wrote on X that Ramesh Bidhuri ji’s nephew and relatives resorted to hooliganism due to fear of defeat in Kalkaji. Yesterday evening, BJP members intimidated, threatened and used force on Aam Aadmi Party workers. They also misbehaved with many women workers.
