BJP to focus on local body polls strategies at Shirdi conference, Shah to attend
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the conference. This is the first major conference of the party’s state unit after winning the Maharashtra Assembly elections held in November 2024 and forming a government under the leadership of BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. Senior BJP leader Shah may address party workers during the event, which is likely to be attended by around 15,000 delegates. A party functionary said the BJP has now shifted focus to the local body elections and the aim of the conference is to prepare an election strategy. He said the conference will focus on strengthening the party’s position in 27 municipal corporations by discussing strategies, addressing ground-level challenges and planning organisational changes.
