CM Fadnavis inaugurates bridge on Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the bridge at Tadguda on the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border and started bus service from Gatta to Vangeturi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister traveled in a state transport bus with the villagers. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this area of Gadchiroli, where we are standing, did not even have a road earlier and the Maoists had complete dominance here. Fadnavis said that today, ending that dominance, we have built 2 big posts here and built a road and bridge connecting directly to Chhattisgarh. After 75 years, the people here will get to see a state transport bus, so I believe that this is a very important day. We had said that Gadchiroli will not be the last district of Maharashtra, it will be the first district of Maharashtra and we have started it. Earlier, Fadnavis warned that no one would be spared in the murder case of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. Talking to reporters here, Fadnavis said that he spoke to Deshmukh’s brother over the phone and assured him that justice will be done in the case. Police said that Santosh Deshmukh, Sarpanch of Masajog village in Beed, was kidnapped and murdered on December 9. The Sarpanch was allegedly killed because he opposed the attempt of some people to extort money from a wind energy company in Beed district.
