Shimla. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday said that there is no financial crisis in the state and the government is taking various corrective steps. “All my work is focused on making Himachal Pradesh economically self-reliant by 2027 and the most prosperous state in the country by 2032,” the chief minister said. He said that when reforms are initiated, such a situation arises for some time, but it does not mean that there is a financial crisis. Talking to reporters here, he said, “There is no financial crisis in the state and employees and pensioners are getting their dues, the dues of 28,000 pensioners above 75 years of age have been released and the government is taking various corrective steps.” Sukhu accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of spreading lies and misinformation. He asked the BJP leaders to verify their facts and said the allegations of severe financial crisis, snooping through drones and irregularities in auction of liquor shops were false. “We are demanding our rights from the Centre, which includes Rs 9,200 crore deposited under the National Pension Scheme, Rs 9,300 crore for last year’s disaster and the state’s share of Rs 4,300 crore from the Bhakra Beas Management Board,” he said.
