Adityanath lauds Cabinet approval to Unified Pension Scheme, Vigyan Dhara
The Chief Minister also lauded the Cabinet approval to the Vigyan Dhara scheme and said that this initiative will promote research and development in the country and promote gender equality in science. Welcoming another Cabinet decision to approve the BioE3 policy, he said in a post on ‘X’, “This policy will focus on supporting research, innovation and startups, which will help us move forward rapidly in the biotechnology sector.” Appreciating the Cabinet decision to approve the UPS, Adityanath said in a post on ‘X’, “The approval given by the Union Cabinet to the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) today under the successful leadership of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who is constantly dedicated to making the lives of 140 crore countrymen easier, is commendable. He said, “This revolutionary decision benefiting lakhs of Central Government employees has brought a new sunrise of economic security and assurance of a happy future in their lives. Heartfelt gratitude to you Prime Minister ji!” The Union Cabinet on Saturday approved provision of assured pension of 50 per cent of salary under the National Pension System (NPS) for 23 lakh government employees who joined service after January 1, 2004.
