There is no change going to happen in Karnataka at the moment, Siddaramaiah will remain in command for stable government

There is speculation that there is going to be a change of power in Congress-led Karnataka. However, internal sources of the Congress have told that no such thing will happen until the current government completes 18 months of rule. The party high command has decided not to take any decision until the by-elections are completed in three assembly constituencies Channapatna, Sandur and Shiggaon. A senior leader told that the government has been formed to give stable governance to the people and ensure that there is guarantee and development. Everything else is a creation of the media. When the Congress came to power in 2023, amid the power struggle for the post of Chief Minister, there were several rounds of lobbying and rally of MLAs between the Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar camps in Delhi to show which leader has the most support of the MLAs. It is said that Siddaramaiah managed to get the support of more than 60 per cent of the MLAs in his favour and hence it was decided to give him the post. However, there was also an unwritten agreement to hand over the command to Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar after 20 months, who had been trying for the post since the Congress won the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections with a landslide victory of 135 seats. The ruling BJP was reduced to 66 seats and the JDS won 19 seats. Siddaramaiah is considered the most influential Ahinda leader and the person who worked for the upliftment of Dalits, as demonstrated by his rule between 2013-18. The camp supporting him claims that he stands out as an effective administrator and mass leader compared to many other Congress leaders.
