If provoked, we will launch nuclear attack, Kim Jong again threatens nuclear attack
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said that Pyongyang will not hesitate to launch a nuclear attack if any enemy provokes it with nuclear weapons. KCNA news agency said Kim made the comments when he met with soldiers working for the military’s missile bureau and congratulated them on Pyongyang’s recent intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launching practice. He said the test demonstrated the loyalty and strong stance of the armed forces and is a clear illustration of the aggressive retaliatory approach and the development of the DPRK’s nuclear strategy and doctrine, not to hesitate in nuclear attack when provoked by the enemy. DPRK is the abbreviation of the North’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. North Korea said this week it had tested its latest ICBM on Monday to assess the combat readiness of its nuclear forces against growing US hostility. Top diplomats from the United States, South Korea and Japan issued a joint statement on Wednesday condemning North Korea’s recent ballistic missile launches and urging Pyongyang to engage in concrete talks without preconditions. Kim said Monday’s launch showed the military’s high mobility and rapid strike capability and called for efforts to further strengthen its combat capability.
