Siddaramaiah is our leader, no need to misuse his name: Shivakumar
Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Sunday said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is the undisputed leader of the Congress party in Karnataka and there is no need for anyone to make statements by misusing his name. Shivakumar has made this statement reacting to a section of the party saying that Siddaramaiah should complete his term as Chief Minister. Party leaders say that Siddaramaiah’s leadership is important for the party to retain power in the next elections amid speculation of a possible leadership change in Karnataka later this year. State Congress President Shivakumar has not been able to hide his ambition to become the Chief Minister on many occasions. Shivakumar said, Siddaramaiah is our Chief Minister, he is our leader, we want him in all elections. We want him in Zilla Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat, Assembly and Parliament elections. He is our leader. Talking to reporters here, Shivakumar said, Congress party has made Siddaramaiah the Chief Minister twice. There is no need for anyone to misuse his name every day. He is our leader, the undisputed leader of the Congress party. He is working as the Chief Minister for the second time and is doing a good job. I do not want him to become a subject of media (speculation). When asked about the statements of party leaders, Shivakumar said, there is no confusion, the Congress party is keeping an eye on everything every day. Siddaramaiah is the Chief Minister from May 2023. Earlier he has been the Chief Minister from 2013 to 2018.
