People come to MNS for solutions to problems, forget it while voting: Raj Thackeray

Mumbai. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray said that when people want a solution to a problem, they come to his party, but ignore it on the day of elections. In a message on the social media platform ‘X’ on the New Year, Thackeray appealed to the party workers to move forward leaving the election results behind and said that he would soon talk to them and give broad guidelines on future steps. He said, “… some things have not changed … people remember Maharashtra Navnirman Sena for solutions to every problem, but ignore it while voting.” In the Maharashtra Assembly elections held on November 20, MNS contested 125 out of 288 assembly seats, but it did not get any seat. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray also lost from Mahim in Mumbai. Thackeray also claimed that within a few weeks of the election results, “harassment” of Marathi-speaking people started in the state. He said that people expected the MNS to take action in these matters and it did so. The MNS chief said that it has become clear that the ‘Marathi Manush’ is being used only for votes.
