Home Guard jawans posted at altitudes above 9,000 feet in Uttarakhand will get incentives: Dhami
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday said Home Guard jawans posted at altitudes above 9,000 feet in the state will get an incentive of Rs 200 per day like the police and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel. Dhami gave this information while announcing several welfare measures on the occasion of Home Guard Foundation Day at the state headquarters of the force here. He said the amount given to Home Guard volunteers on attaining the retirement age of 60 years will be increased by Rs 50,000. The Chief Minister said that trained Home Guards will be given an incentive of Rs 100 per day if they are deployed with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel. He said that the uniform allowance applicable to gazetted and non-gazetted officers in the Home Guard department will also be given every year. Praising the Home Guard volunteers who are always ready to face adverse circumstances and serve the country, Dhami said that the state government is always committed to ensuring their welfare. The Chief Minister said that the participation of a large number of women home guards in the parade is a symbol of women empowerment.
