‘India’ alliance will uproot BJP in Jharkhand: Lalu
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday claimed that the ruling ‘India’ alliance in Jharkhand will uproot the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state assembly elections. Lalu said that the ‘India’ (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) alliance has emerged as a much more powerful political force than the BJP. The ‘India’ alliance also includes RJD. Addressing an election rally in Jharkhand’s Koderma district, Lalu said, “We will uproot the BJP and it will never be able to make a comeback. The BJP is helpless in front of our strength.” The former Bihar chief minister said that he played a key role in forming the ‘India’ alliance, which has emerged as a strong force against the BJP in the country. He said, “I have contributed to the development of Koderma. So, do not forget to vote for our candidate Subhash Yadav and ensure his victory.” Koderma assembly constituency used to be a stronghold of the RJD till ten years ago. However, in 2014, BJP’s Neera Yadav snatched this seat from RJD. Neera is once again in the fray with the hope of winning from Koderma for the third consecutive time. RJD’s Subhash Yadav is contesting from Koderma this time as a candidate of ‘India’ alliance. He is considered a close associate of the RJD supremo. The Supreme Court recently granted bail to Subhash Yadav in a case related to money laundering.
