Tejashwi Yadav got angry on Giriraj Singh’s controversial comment, said- If anyone looks at Muslims with an evil eye, I will destroy them
Nowadays, a lot of Hindu-Muslim is being seen in Bihar politics. Let us tell you that Union Minister Giriraj Singh, while making controversial remarks, called upon people to keep “spears, swords and tridents” in their homes, which can be used for worshiping the gods as well as for “self-defense”. On the other hand, Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Tejashwi Yadav has said that if anyone looks at Muslims with an evil eye, he will destroy them with a brick. Let us tell you that Giriraj Singh made the controversial remarks during his “Hindu Swabhiman Yatra” in Kishanganj, the only Muslim-dominated district of Bihar. He claimed that the Hindu community is in “danger” and needs to be “organized”. Singh, who represents the Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency, claimed, “Before coming to Kishanganj, I have visited nearby Araria, Katihar and Purnia districts. Everywhere people shared their concerns about the honour of their sisters and daughters. I have been told that every year many Hindu girls fall prey to ‘love jihad’, following which they are converted (to Islam). No case is registered against such criminals who misbehave with women who do not fall into their trap.” However, he did not cite any specific incident to support his remarks. He claimed, “I have come to know that in places where Muslims outnumber Hindus, their temples are vandalised, their religious practices like applying vermilion by women are interfered with.” The Union minister also alleged that Christian missionaries are also active in the region, but they are targeting only Hindus. Giriraj Singh called upon Hindus to unite. The minister also reminded people that almost every god and goddess is said to hold a trident, sword or spear. The BJP leader said, “That is why I ask all of you to keep these items in your homes. Worship them after purifying them and use them in self-defense when needed.” On the other hand, RJD chief Lalu Yadav, commenting on Giriraj Singh’s statement, has said that these people want to cause riots, while his son Tejashwi Yadav has said that today a BJP MP made an inflammatory statement to spoil the atmosphere in Bihar and today itself Nitish Kumar ji provided additional security to that MP. He said that everyone’s fragrance is in the soil of this country and everyone has contributed to freedom. I assure everyone that as long as I am alive, I will stand firmly against everyone who throws Bihar into the fire of communalism and will destroy those who have an evil eye on Muslims.
