Consensus reached in Mahayuti on seat sharing! BJP will contest on most seats, know how many seats Shiv Sena and NCP will get

Political stir is in full swing in Maharashtra regarding the upcoming assembly elections. Here the contest is mainly between two alliances. On one hand, there is the ruling Mahayuti alliance which includes Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). On the other hand, there is Mahavikas Aghadi alliance which includes Congress, Uddhav Thackeray’s party and Sharat Pawar’s party. Seat sharing between the parties is quite complicated. At the same time, good news is coming for BJP and the ruling Mahayuti alliance. It is being claimed that the seat sharing between BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has almost been finalized. This means that the seat sharing between the three parties has almost been completed. Sources told a TV channel that BJP will contest the maximum number of seats, followed by Shiv Sena and NCP. Sources claimed that BJP is likely to contest between 150 to 155 seats, Shiv Sena 90-95 seats and NCP 40-45 seats. Several rounds of meetings have been held between alliance leaders to finalise the seat-sharing arrangement. Sources have also indicated that the alliance will be in a position to announce the seat-sharing arrangement before the announcement of election dates. The alliance partners have conducted several surveys. The most important criterion for giving tickets to anyone is winnability. It has also been revealed that only 5-10% of the seats are expected to be changed in case of existing candidates. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar on Saturday reviewed the election preparations in Maharashtra along with fellow election commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and SS Sandhu. During this, Rajiv Kumar also directed the state police officials to expedite the investigation of electoral offences registered in the state during the Lok Sabha elections. He said that we have come here to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra. We met leaders of national parties and regional parties.
