Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that the Indian Army soldiers displayed indomitable bravery in the inaccessible hills of the Himalayas during the Kargil war and forced the enemy army to kneel down. Amit Shah said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of the unwavering resolve of the bravery of the brave soldiers of the army. He said in a post on the social media platform X, in the Kargil war, the brave soldiers displayed the pinnacle of valor in the inaccessible hills of the Himalayas and forced the enemy army to kneel down and made the country proud by hoisting the tricolor again in Kargil. The Home Minister said that the grateful nation will never forget the sacrifice, dedication and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers. Shah said, today on “Kargil Vijay Diwas”, I salute the brave soldiers who protected the motherland with their courage in this war. The Indian Army declared the successful end of Operation Vijay on 26 July 1999 after winning the nearly three-month-long war on the snowy peaks of Kargil in Ladakh. This day is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan.
