United opposition will hold the government accountable at the centre: Sachin Pilot

Jaipur. Congress leader Sachin Pilot said on Monday that the united opposition will hold the government accountable at the centre and will not allow it to rule “arbitrarily” like it did in the last 10 years. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not got an absolute majority, so it will not be able to work with the same attitude which it had in the last 10 years. Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot told reporters in Tonk, “We have not got an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha elections… no single party has got the mandate to form the government. Now there is a coalition government. Let’s see what happens in the future? But I feel that the kind of attitude and governance that was there in the last 10 years may not be possible now.” He said, “What will happen in the future? I cannot say this but the initial signs show that the attitude has softened. There will be a change in the attitude that was there earlier. He said, “Now the opposition parties in the parliament have won a large number of seats, so we will not allow the arbitrary proceedings that used to happen in the parliament earlier. The entire opposition is united…there is unanimity and ‘India’ will strongly keep the government alert inside and outside the parliament and will fix accountability.” Expressing grief over the terrorist attack on pilgrims in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the police administration should take action on it and if such incidents increase there, it is a matter of concern.
